A Bowl of Tea, Warming the Heart Within
冬の内観の季節に ー 静けさに触れる茶の時間
A Bowl of Tea, a Journey Within
A tea ceremony workshop for winter reflection
In every bowl of tea, there is warmth - a quiet moment where you gently return to yourself.
This winter, we welcome Urasenke Tea Master Soyu Mukai for an intimate tea ceremony workshop that invites stillness, reflection, and mindful presence.
With the theme “Finding Quiet Within” participants will observe the refined and minimal movements of the tea ceremony, and then prepare a bowl of tea themselves. Through these calm, deliberate gestures, the breath slows and attention turns inward.
Rooted in the deeply cultivated practice of chadō - the Way of Tea - this workshop offers more than learning form. It creates a shared space of quiet, where hands move gently, time softens, and a single bowl of tea becomes your own moment of warmth and clarity.
Curated and presented by Haraiso, this gathering offers a rare opportunity to experience tea as a simple yet profound practice of inner stillness.
We are honored to welcome Soyu Mukai, Professor of the Urasenke tradition. Based in Zürich, she has devoted decades to sharing the Way of Tea in Japan and internationally, including long‑standing programs at the Rietberg Museum and the Japanese Embassy in Bern.
