手ぬぐい　板締め（INDIGO)

藍染を、もっと気軽に。
天然染料の中でも馴染み深い藍を染料に、
昔ながらの板締めの技法を用いて染めた
宝島染工オリジナルの藍染手ぬぐいです。

同じ方法で染めていますが、一枚ずつ職人が手染めをしているため、
染料の浸透具合、柄行きや色の濃さなどが少しずつ異なります。
そんな手仕事の面白さも楽しんでいただければ幸いです。

Tenugui Itajime (INDIGO)

Ai-dyeing made more casual.
Dyed with indigo, which is one of the most familiar natural dyes,
Dyed using the traditional itajime technique.

Although dyed in the same way, each piece is dyed by hand by a craftsman,
The dye penetration, the pattern and the intensity of the colours differ little by little.

Due to the hand-dyeing process, there is a slight (approx. 1 cm) individual difference in size.

Washing- Recommend hand washing or washing machine, cold wash on delicate cycle. Please use a laundry net.- Please use a pH neutral detergent to keep color fading to a minimum.- Please wash separately from other clothing for the first few washes to avoid staing to other clothes.- Please do not use detergent with fluorescent agents, bleach, and any stain remover.- Please do not tumbler dry. Hang to dry in shade.Storage- Please avoid direct sunlight as it may cause color to fade.- Keep items in the shade.Others- Citrus juice may discolor fabric. Please rinse the stained point immediately.- Natural dye will fade slowly and gradually with use, which will become your own unique color.
